ok here is the thing. if a tornado siren goes off while in a movie theater they are most likely NOT going to send you home while the siren is going off. most likely the employees will escort everyone into the safest place in the building where you will take shelter. if you don't have time to go into the safest room you duck under your seat cushion and take cover IMEDIATLY!!!!!!!!

it depends where you live but where i live they will not refund the tickets. next time you go to the movies how about you ask them about the refunds.

you said that there has been multiple tornado warnings where you live. that is probably because you live in tornado alley. tornado alley is where the most tornados occur during tornado season or all year. tornado alley is in the central part of the u.s. it travels as far south central as the ocean to as far north central to canada.

As far as refunding your ticket, that will be up to the theater management to decide. As far as actions to take, getting out of the theater area, and into the bathroom would likely be the best action, since the restrooms tend to be interior, and smaller/ more protected than the viewing areas. Look for posted plans or evacuation routes. You can also ask when you are buying your tickets what the movie theater's emergency plan is, and about the refund policy.

The ushers and management would gather all the people into the safest area of the theater. After the sirens stop sounding or if it was an actual emergency, I am sure they would either start the movies back up from where they were stopped or give refunds.

You should call the theater and ask.

Personally, I'd leave if there was a tornado warning. Whether I got my money back would be something I'd consider second to safety.

And it's not like the movie cost $50 or $100.
